🇲🇽¡Feliz Día de la Independencia!🇲🇽

Our country of the month this month is Mexico. We have shelf work out to help us explore Mexican culture and learn more about this amazing country that borders our own. To celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day on Wednesday, we ate chips and salsa with guacamole and listened to mariachi music while we danced. It was a fun celebration!

Our second book in our Laura Numeroff series is “If You Give a Moose a Muffin”. So we made muffins today! We also did writing and graphing work to go along with it. And tomorrow we will eat our muffins for morning snack. Our students are turning into quite the little chefs!🫎🫎🫎

🥞🥞We started our Laura Numeroff literary series today and read “If You Give a Pig a Pancake”. And then we explored our five senses while we made pancakes that we will eat tomorrow for morning snack. 🥞🥞

All the summer art work came down and got sent home this week to make room for our fall art work. We kicked it off with some fingerprint trees on Wednesday.

♥️🌎 Each month at The Learning World, we focus on a new country to explore. This month we chose the island country of Jamaica! From learning that the hummingbird is the national bird to listening to Bob Marley, our students are learning that there is a whole world out there worth exploring! 🌍♥️

Today we explored “moon sand”, read about the stars, and visited TLW Planetarium to see all the planets!🌙⭐️🌍🪐☀️

At The Learning World we plant a garden in the spring and learn all about planting and growing. We dig in the dirt and put in plants and seeds and practice using the tools used to cultivate a garden. We w**d and water throughout the summer and hope to harvest in the fall. We’ve got something to harvest today! 🍒🍅
