I signed for the thousands of families like mine who deserve an affordable roof over their heads, quality public schools (no matter the zip code), and a Connecticut that works for everybody.

Thank you Local 777 for inviting me to attend Plumber/Pipefitter/HVAC Career Day at the Murdock Ave training center in Meriden. Got great firsthand insights into the extensive training that our tradespeople undergo, as well productive discussion on ways in which we can continue retaining talent in our trades so that quality, high-paying jobs stay here in Connecticut where they belong.

Union Strong.
Proud to be part of a historic day in the Silver City as our neighbors formed the first-ever Meriden chapter for the Connecticut Tenants Union. In our city, we prioritize people over profits. And while private equity makes it harder than ever to live here in Connecticut, we stand together to bring accountability where it matters most. Our homes. Our neighborhoods. Our city. We will not settle for less.

Scenes from an epic weekend. Got to see some of my great friends in government, including the amazing Kai Belton, Erick Russell, Jahana Hayes, Middletown Young Dems, Cheshire Dems, Meriden Pride, James Demetriades, and many, many others. Hit a great variety of neighborhoods, from multi-family apartments, middle housing, motels, you name it. Had meaningful conversations about veterans support, election security, tenant protections, and how to keep our cities and our state moving forward. Walked another 20 miles.
We campaign with joy and vision. We campaign with the energy Connecticut needs in tough times like right now. And to the dozens of people who hit doors with me this weekend and who honked and waved when they saw me on the street, thanks for showing some love. This is the best job in the world.

Meet the Team!
Join me in welcoming Alex, who just graduated from UConn (Go Huskies) and is looking to use his energy and perspective to improve Connecticut for all ages. Despite the heat, we hit some doors this afternoon by Washington Middle School and Alex did great. Welcome to the team!

“I’m endorsing Jack because as a young parent, skilled lawyer, and dedicated lawmaker, Jack knows how to deliver for working and middle class Connecticut families. And while chaos defines the Trump administration, Jack has injected new energy and a grounded perspective into Connecticut. Join me in supporting Jack in the 13th Senate District Primary, happening Tuesday, August 11.”

Hate has no place in Connecticut. Not now, not ever. Running for office is a privilege. Holding office is an even greater one. And when you put your name on that ballot, you are held to the highest possible standard. As you should be.
Let’s stand with our LGBTQ+ community. Let’s recognize that these hateful comments do not represent Connecticut values. Clearly, the person making them should not be making laws for this state.
As someone who has lived in Northeastern Connecticut my entire life, I am deeply embarrassed that our region is drawing statewide, and potentially national, attention for all the wrong reasons. The nomination of a major party candidate who chooses to divide our towns, spread hate, and insult our neighbors is completely tone-deaf to the decent people from all political backgrounds who live here.
The Quiet Corner is a special place. I have always appreciated the fact that I can run into a Republican neighbor at Baker's Dozen, have a conversation about our differing points of view, and walk away with mutual respect. I don’t hate them for having a different opinion, and I like to think they don’t hate me. You can do that with policy debates.
One of the greatest freedoms we celebrate in the United States is the right to live your life exactly the way you want. But when a candidate crosses the line of basic human decency by judging others and plastering irrational, hateful posts about our neighbors, friends, and family across social media, it threatens the very fabric of our community.
I am encouraged by the strong, bipartisan voices, including Republican House leadership, who have stepped up to call out this immature and reckless behavior. I urge everyone to seriously consider the long-term harm this kind of toxic rhetoric does to the cohesiveness of our towns.
We have incredibly serious problems to solve in Connecticut, including the rising cost of healthcare, soaring energy bills, securing sustainable funding for our public schools, and shoring up our critical public safety infrastructure. That is the actual work I was elected to do, and it is the work I look forward to continuing alongside serious, dedicated public officials from across the entire political spectrum.
