"A Fun Place To Grow"

Our NAEYC-accredited nursery school and childcare center provides a loving, yet structured, home-like setting for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age. Children enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of home while we enhance their experiences by capitalizing on the child’s remarkable receptivity to new learning.

🍉 Tip of the Week: Healthy Summer Snacking 🍉
Summer activities can keep little ones busy and active—making healthy snacks extra important ☀️

Try offering simple, refreshing snacks like:
🍓 Fresh fruit
🥒 Cut-up veggies
🧀 Cheese and crackers
🍉 Frozen fruit pops
💧 Plenty of water throughout the day

💡 Letting children help prepare snacks can also build independence, confidence, and healthy habits!

At KGLC, we love encouraging healthy choices while making learning fun and hands-on 💛

💦 Tip of the Week: Water Safety Matters 💦
As we head into summer, water safety is so important for our little ones.
According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4 and can happen quickly and silently.
Here are key tips from the American Academy of Pediatrics, CDC, and Red Cross:
👀 Always provide close, constant supervision(Stay within arm’s reach—no distractions!)
🏊‍♀️ Enroll children in swim lessons when ready(Swim skills reduce drowning risk)
🦺 Use proper life jackets (Inflatable toys are NOT safety devices)
🚪 Secure pools with fences and locked gates
Water safety is about layers of protection—and it only takes a moment to make a difference 💙

🌸 Tip of the Week: Slow Down & Enjoy the Season 🌸
Spring and early summer are full of opportunities to make simple memories together 💛

Try setting aside time this week to:
🌿 Take an evening walk
🫧 Play outside together
🍓 Visit a local farm stand or farmers market
🐞 Look for bugs, flowers, or butterflies
📸 Capture special family moments

Children learn so much through connection, conversation, and shared experiences ☀️

At KGLC, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens during everyday moments together!

🇺🇸 Tip of the Week: Teaching Gratitude & Remembrance🇺🇸
As we head into Memorial Day, it’s a great opportunity to begin simple conversations with children about gratitude and honoring others.

You can:
❤️ Talk about helpers and heroes
🇺🇸 Create a red, white, and blue craft
🗣️ Practice saying “thank you” to community helpers

Even our youngest learners can begin to understand kindness, respect, and appreciation.

Wishing all of our KGLC families a safe and meaningful Memorial Day ❤️🤍💙
