Promoting Maternal Health Through Education, Connection, and Support!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Maternal Mental Health Awareness Event at the Meriden Public Library. Community members, healthcare professionals, and local partners came together for meaningful conversations, educational sessions, and resource-sharing focused on maternal health and mental wellness.

We are grateful to The Community Chest of New Britain and Berlin for sponsoring this important event and to the Meriden Public Library for hosting us. Together, we are helping raise awareness, strengthen support systems, and advance healthier outcomes for mothers and families across our communities.

As part of Southington’s 250th anniversary celebration, Bradley Memorial Hospital opened its doors to the community for an afternoon of family fun, health and wellness. From meeting local first responders and exploring emergency vehicles to free health screenings, educational resources and sweet treats, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn and celebrate together.

Comfort and Care for Cancer Patients!

A heartfelt thank you to Subaru of Wallingford and Blood Cancer United for their generous donation of heart-shaped pillow blankets to patients receiving care at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at MidState Medical Center.

As part of the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative, the donation also included messages of hope and encouragement for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. These thoughtful gifts provide comfort and support during a challenging time and reflect a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

During PCT Week, we celebrated the incredible PCTs across Hartford HealthCare’s Central Region with treats, recognition and a special professional development workshop. One highlight included Stephanie Burnham, Hartford HealthCare’s director of health equity, shadowing Sha-Hatra Hylton on C4 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut to gain firsthand insight into the vital role PCTs play in patient care.

Colleagues from MidState Medical Center laced up their running shoes and hopped on their bikes to take part in the 40th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut, helping carry the Flame of Hope through Meriden and surrounding communities.

We’re proud to support an event that shines a light on the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Connecticut and brings people together in the spirit of inclusion, perseverance and community.
