His story teaches a lot about being a responsible pet owner, and how sometimes these creatures are more scared of us than we are of them. His story teaches us that animals require patience, care, and love. It teaches us that these animals are in fact living beings, who hold a huge personality that is waiting for the opportunity to show itself. Arlo is a very sweet boy who is very curious about everything around him. He is also a very loving boy who wants pets and snuggles. Visit our zoo and ask about Arlo's story - it's worth the listen. 💚🐍

If you are in need of any reptile supplies or feeders, check out Bio Boutique! They are located in Leavenworth but are 100% worth the drive! The owners are absolutely wonderful people, and they truly care about these animals and their customers. Instead of supporting a big chain store that doesn't care about the animals and want to charge their customers an arm and a leg, support a local small business where they will fight for the proper care of these animals and want to provide the best services for their customers. Give them a try if you haven't yet - you won't regret it!

When you visit our zoo, you get an unforgettable experience learning about reptiles from all over the world. Some of these animals are not as far as you might imagine. Take Crush for an example... he is a common snapping turtle! These guys can be found in your own backyard right here in Kansas! He isn't the only animal ambassador that is native to the United States at our zoo. Come visit to find out more about the reptiles that are native to our state and our country! 💚🦎🐍🐢

🐀Feeding Experiences 🐀
We feed our small snakes every 2 weeks and our large snakes once a month. You can find these days marked with a 🐀 icon below. We do our feedings on Saturdays at 5pm to allow the public to be able to watch and learn about how a snake eats their food. Due to the behaviors snakes exhibit when the scent of their food is in the air, we don't allow any of our snakes to be interacted with between 4pm-6pm on feeding days to ensure the safety of our team and our customers. If you're lucky, you may even have the chance to feed a snake 😉During this timeframe, our lizards, turtles, and tortoises are still available for interactions
