We are pleased to announce that the planned Field Education and Research Center (FERC) for the Merced Vernal Pools and Grassland Reserve (MVPGR) will be coming soon! The new Field Education and Research Center will allow us to expand educational access to the MVPGR. Expanded access will allow us to provide transformational education experiences to both students and the community alike to inspire our next generation of environmental leaders and scientists! The Field Education and Research Center will also inspire social and environmental change. The fully sustainable and off the grid facility will provide researchers and students a stage for their current and future projects! The goal is to have the center ready to use in the fall, which could include a celebration, not unlike a classic barn raising event! For more information about this exciting new development, see the full UC Merced newsroom article below! ๐Ÿ‘‡
