How to Talk to Little Girls I always bite my tongue when I meet little girls, restraining myself from telling them how darn cute and well-coiffed they are. What's wrong with that? It's our culture's standard talking-to-little-girls icebreaker, isn't it?

Undergrads: Thinking about applying to graduate school in a science- or engineering-related discipline? Want to meet current graduate students to hear about their experiences and get tips and advice for the applications process? The Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) group invites you to join us for an informal panel discussion with several graduate students from the UC Merced community. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. So far, the panel includes graduate students from the following majors: Cognitive and Information Sciences, Physics and Chemistry, Psychology, and Quantitative and Systems Biology.
