John Muir PTC

Something we do here at John Muir PTC is recognize ALL our volunteers, helpers, supports, etc! We keep track of all your names, we make a certificate for each of you and our PTC Cabinet signs them! Each certificate with a personal message thanking you for your contribution. This is something we take pride in doing!

WELL, tonight at the Board Meeting, the administrators selected a parent to receive the “Parent of the Year” award. We are happy to share that not one but two were recognized. Mr. Mathew Davis & Mrs. Ashlee Light-Davis were awarded for this incredible recognition!

Mrs. Ashlee Light-Davis serves as our PTC Vice President 2, not only does she advocate for our students, she is at every event! You can thank her for bringing the idea of having Family Picnic Day! It was a huge hit and a Trailblazer favorite! She is lead in command when it comes down to food sales and organization! She was our first parent to get involved with PTC, that did not work for Muir at the time. We are so honored to have her apart of our PTC.

Mr. Mathew Davis, usually voluntold by his wife to always help, but he shows up every time! Not only is he always ready to dress up as a character for Character Meet and Greet, he constantly helps behind the scenes of many events. Did we mention that he even volunteered for events that didn’t involve his own childrens’ grade level! That is true dedication for our Trailblazers and their families!

We hope a miracle happens in favor of our Trailblazers, to continue having Special Day Class(SDC) at John Muir, so we can continue to have our involved parents from their classroom next year and the years to come!

All Staff Luncheon Catered by Mexican Twisted
This has become our tradition to celebrate both Certificated and Classified Staff!

Thank you Antojitos El Toca(Ms. Mayra) for the delicious drinks! Thank you to the set up crew, you guys rock, it came out beautiful!

And wow!! The Cotton Candy Duo and Snow Cone Makers have donated a class snow cone and cotton candy party to be raffled to one lucky teacher who enters the giveaway!

Thank you Trailblazer Staff for absolutely EVERYTHING. This is the least we can do!

Team Puzzle

Today our teachers received a “puzzle piece” and together they were completing the puzzle throughout the day!

We almost got all the pieces together!

Once completed it would say “Never Forget That You Are the 🧩Piece🧩 That Made a Difference”

Thank you for participating Trailblazer Teachers! We appreciate you and your hard work and your dedication does not go unnoticed! You change their lives by advocating for all Trailblazers! You are their rock and quite frankly ours too! You are the “T” in PTC!

Nacho Average Nacho Bar

Today we had ALL the fixings for an ALL STAFF Nacho Bar! (or nacho salad if you wish)

Some John Muir Staff Members helped us create this! Thank you for helping us make it memorable for everyone!

From the nacho cheese, taco meat, beans, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, salsas, jalapeños, onions, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream and drinks!…YUM!

Positive Clips

Each student received a clip with a positive note/affirmation/phrase to clip a teacher of their choosing!

We hope these little messages make you smile! You are truly appreciated by the students and you matter in their life, and in ours!

Trailblazer Families!

We were overjoyed with how many of our Trailblazer Families showed up for our FIRST EVER “Family Picnic Day” after some calculations we are happy to announce that 406 guests attended! There was a total of 654(including trailblazer students) who participated! What a great turn out!

We want to take a moment and thank each of you for attending! We also want to thank ALL staff members that helped us make this possible! We know it took a lot of work! Thank you!
