Michael Borden Racing is grassroots motorsports in the truest sense of the word. His love for racing began on consoles, eventually moving to a simulator. After honing his race craft online, he made the jump to the real world in 2014, collecting awards and trophies in autocross series across Wisconsin. Now Michael is in the world of wheel-to-wheel racing in an effort to further challenge himself in the beloved Mazda Miata MX-5.

Big changes for me this year! I am prepping, transporting, and doing the track support for my car. I will be racing in both SMX and STL in the SCCA Northern Conference.
The first event at Blackhawk Farms Raceway could not have gone better, winning all for races. I qualified on the pole in SMX and had a great first race with Matteo Azari, but unfortunately his car wasn't able to make the second race. I started second for both STL races and each day made a move on the first lap, going on to lead every lap of the weekend.
Big thanks to everyone that helped make this happen, I couldn't have done it without them. Advanced Autosports for lending me a trailer while I'm waiting for mine from Bravo Trailers. Will Ost for letting me use his alignment equipment, and everyone else at the track who supported me, there are far too many to list them all.
