‼️This we we want to highlight Coach Max‼️
Last day at ETS Menomonee Falls before Max heads off to Glendale! Great guy to have him here to help us grow both as staff and athletes!
Couldn’t ask for someone better to have been here! Good luck with everything going forward!
Plyometrics improve speed because they train your muscles and nervous system to produce force quickly. They emphasize explosive movements like jumps, bounds, and hops that enhance the body’s stretch-shortening cycle — the rapid transition from muscle loading to contraction.
Key benefits for speed training:
* Faster force production → You push off the ground more powerfully in less time.
* Improved reactive strength → Better ability to absorb and redirect force during sprinting.
* Greater neuromuscular efficiency → Your brain and muscles coordinate faster and more effectively.
* Enhanced stiffness and elasticity in tendons → Better energy return with each stride.
* Higher rate of acceleration → Especially useful for starts and short sprints.
Common plyometric exercises include:
* Box Jump
* Depth Jump
* Bounding
* Skater Jump
For speed athletes, plyometrics essentially bridge the gap between strength and real-world explosive movement

Feature Friday this week is Coach Aaron Goecks. He’s been with ETS Menomonee Falls for over 2 years!
As Max steps away into a new opportunity in Glendale, Aaron will now become the new Director of Operations here in Menomonee Falls!
Exciting for both; ready and determined to see what comes in the future!
Why are we doing lunges, and why are we change up the way we do them?
Different types of lunges are important because they challenge the body in different ways. No single lunge trains every movement, muscle, or athletic skill. Changing the direction, stance, or loading of a lunge helps athletes become stronger, more balanced, and more prepared for real movement in sports and life.
Another reason they matter is because every athlete moves differently. Some athletes need more ankle mobility, some need hip strength, and others need knee control. Using multiple lunge variations allows coaches and athletes to target those specific needs instead of doing the same movement repeatedly.
In a simple way: different lunges create a more complete athlete. They improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, stability, and movement control from multiple angles instead of just one!
‼️This week we want to highlight Lexi Patterson‼️
Lexi is as consistent as they come spending 3-4 days a week in the facility with us!
Every session is attacked with focus, grit, and determination! Plus the results show, her progress in the facility is off the charts!
