65 years of looking at the stars! ✨
SRI's iconic Dish antenna, lasting well beyond its original lifespan, is celebrating over 6 decades of space exploration, defense, and communications — contributing to missions that tracked solar wind; analyzed the surfaces of the Moon, Venus, and Mars ahead of NASA landings; and recently supported NASA’s InSight mission to Mars by communicating with CubeSats over a million miles away.

Thrilled to share that SRI has been chosen by the Japanese government to join the Global Startup Campus (GSC) Initiative, where we'll help accelerate Japan’s deep tech startup ecosystem by leading two of the initiative’s pilot efforts: the Venture Build Program and the International Research Program.
GSC is a Tokyo-based program aimed at creating Japan-origin deep tech startups while attracting outstanding talents and investment from around the world.

AI agents are negotiating, transacting, and delegating at machine speed. But without a trust layer, organizations have no way to prove what's true.
Zerker Labs, our newest SRI spinout, is building cryptographic verification infrastructure for AI agents. Built on SRI's trusted OLIVE platform — hardened through DARPA programs and deployed across U.S. defense, intelligence, and commercial sectors — Zerker gives every AI agent action a cryptographic receipt that anyone can verify.

The New York Times talks with SRI's Dimitra Vergyri ahead of Apple’s developer conference today to unveil a long-awaited overhaul of Siri, which was developed at SRI. The initial digital assistant inspired SRI researchers to create Siri in 2008, which Apple acquired in 2010.
“The vision was to have an assistant that can help you navigate the digital world, your activities, your interactions,” said Dimitra Vergyri, President of Information and Computing Sciences at SRI.
Today's announcement marks Apple's biggest AI push yet.

Are quantum systems replacing classical ones? Not just yet. But in the future, it's possible.
Quantum systems work in tandem with classical systems to help enhance how we communicate, process, and measure both classical bits and quantum bits (qubits). Learn how from SRI Principal Research Scientist, Cale M. Gentry ⤵️

It's almost time!
June us this Wednesday, June 3 in Palo Alto or online in a conversation with Nobel laureate John M. Martinis and QED-C® executive director, Celia Merzbacher. They'll discuss:
✴️ The current state of the quantum ecosystem
✴️ Applications in the commercial market - beyond quantum computing
✴️ Manufacturing at scale — what a quantum-capable supply chain looks like & who is building it
✴️ The new wild west: startups, consortiums, VCs, government agencies, and big industry
Spots left are limited. Register: https://hubs.ly/Q04dWMFT0
Can we remove harmful gases from industrial facilities, plants, and gas turbines at scale?
Developed and tested for over a decade at SRI, our Mixed Salt Process produces an almost dry CO2 stream at high pressure, reducing both operational and capital CO2 compression costs - and has been successfully tested at the National Carbon Capture Center, demonstrating that the process is effective at engineering scale.
In 2021, MSP was licensed to energy company, Baker Hughes to research and deploy internationally.
Rural healthcare options around the country are becoming more limited as hospitals and other care facilities close and consolidate.
Under the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H)’s PARADIGM program, SRI researchers are developing a technology-driven mobile platform that can deliver advanced hospital-level care to every rural county in America.
And so far, the user satisfaction is far exceeding project expectations.
