• There are times you may see little babies listed in our welcome posts. While they may be tiny, they are fierce! Sometimes(and for various reasons) babies need to be born early, and while they may not have been born in the birth suites of the birth center, they will always be a part of the Alba family!

Join the Alba team for a casual play date at the park. We'll be hanging out, chasing our kids, and enjoying some summer fun together.

Bring your kiddos (we'll have ours!), a snack, and come visit! We'd love to see you.

Don't see your insurance provider listed? Reach out to our team. We are happy to verify your benefits and discuss your coverage options. Even when we are not in-network, we can bill any insurance provider on your behalf and help you understand what benefits may be available to you.

We also partner directly with employers to provider maternity benefits for their employees. If your employer may be interested in offering access to birth center and midwifery care through a direct partnership with Alba, we'd love to start the conversation. Let our team know!

Our team is committed to removing barriers to care and helping more families access the experienced, personalized midwifery services they deserve. We are honored to continue creating a space where more women can choose midwifery care with confidence, support, and access.

This story starts back with the birth of their first daughter. A sweet little girl who was breech, turning their birth into a c-section at their hospital. Their second, a son, flipped his way around and around, finally settling on a head-down position, and momma had a v-bac in the hospital! For their third, they found us at Alba. Every appointment filled with laughter and a beautiful instant connection. Everyone took guesses on boy or girl, and the excitement grew. Baby was head down…until they weren’t. Momma tried all the things, many conversations were had, and education was given and researched. With a strong, beautiful trust in:

•her body
•her baby
•and her team
momma (with her husband trusting her intuition) decided she was going to have a vaginal breech birth.
The day after her due date in the evening, her water broke! The team was contacted and everyone made their way into the birth center. Momma and dad labored beautifully together, into the night with a steadiness and eagerness to meet their little one…even dozing off in sync in between contractions. The sacredness of birth was a blanket in the quiet room, just momma and dad…a midwife quietly keeping watch. Slowly, a sliver of morning light began to appear, and then she felt an urge to push. Overcoming fears in real time, she brought her baby down with strength. Baby was scooped up into her arms, a beautiful second daughter. After a couple of breaths, baby made her presence known…and there were tears of joy and pride in every eye in the room. The sacredness of birth still blanketed the room, now wrapped around this new little life.

Happy Birthday Willow, 7lbs 11oz…you are loved to the moon and back!

On this day usually spent with family and friends, enjoying the sunshine...take a moment to remember and honor those who have given everything!

This first-time Alba momma was looking for a different experience for her fourth baby. She brought a beautifully positive, confident energy to every appointment. She labored at home until she knew it was time to come in. As she entered the birth center and settled into the tub…there was no fear. Riding each wave of her contractions, she knew she would meet her baby soon. She listened to her body’s needs and made her way to the bed, She felt her baby moving down and knew if was time to push. Just minutes later, her baby was in her arms! Another sweet boy, already so loved! Momma and dad settled into bed together, enjoying the quiet moments with their newest son.
