At Fox Valley Memory Project, we believe community is about supporting one another and helping our neighbors when they need it most.

This week, our Thryve participants worked together to fill backpacks with school supplies for local students and families affected by the Appleton/Menasha tornado. It was a meaningful opportunity for our participants to give back and support the community they are a part of. โค๏ธ

We have a limited number of FREE backpacks, geared toward middle and high school students, available to families affected by the tornado.

Each backpack includes:

โ€ข Phone-charging backpack
โ€ข Amazon Basics headphones with a 3.5mm jack

โ€ข 9 folders

โ€ข Sticky notes
โ€ข Highlighters
โ€ข Pencil case
โ€ข Pencil sharpener
โ€ข Glue stick
โ€ข Erasers

We hope these backpacks provide a little extra support to local students and families as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

We're grateful to share that our building sustained only minor damage and power has been restored sooner than expected. Thank you to everyone who checked in, reached out, and offered support over the past few days. Your kindness has meant so much to our team.

As our community continues to recover, we know this has been an especially difficult time for many families. If you are caring for someone living with dementia, or if you are living with dementia yourself, and could use support, a listening ear, or help connecting with resources, please reach out.

You don't have to go through this alone. We're here for you.

โ—PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS: Tuesday July 28thโ—

Our hearts are with everyone in our community who was impacted by todayโ€™s tornado. We know many families, businesses, and organizations are facing devastating damage. We are keeping each of you in our thoughts.

Weโ€™re grateful to share that everyone at Fox Valley Memory Project is safe. While we are incredibly thankful for that, our building sustained damage that now needs to be assessed.

As a result, all programs scheduled for tomorrow at both our main location (at the Goodwill NCW Campus) and the Mary Beth Nienhaus Activity Center have been canceled.

At this time, we are assessing the extent of the damage. Additional program cancellations may be necessary, and we will share updates as soon as we have more information.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. Please stay safe and continue to look out for one another. ๐Ÿ’™

Like many in our community, we were impacted by this afternoonโ€™s tornado and power outage. Thankfully, everyone is safe, including the participants who were with us at the time.

We have some minor damage and are assessing the building. Thank you to everyone who has checked inโ€”we appreciate your support and will share updates as we have them.
