We are so grateful to have been a grant recipient of a portion of the Tornado Relief funds from the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
Samaritan will spend the coming weeks and months addressing the needs for mental health support following the destructive storms last month.
Through our walk-in crisis support and our fee assistance, our counselors will be able to reach and connect with more of our community members who have been impacted by the tornado. Our professionals are ready to walk alongside our neighbors as they begin the process of not only healing from the emotional grief, but also the rebuilding of their homes, businesses and lives.
Thank you, from the bottoms of our hearts, for supporting our work.
August 6 | Grants Awarded from the Community Response Fund

Today’s adolescents are growing up in a world shaped by artificial intelligence, social media algorithms, constant digital connection and rapidly changing technology.
The question is, how do we help young people stay grounded, connected and emotionally healthy?
We can't wait to dive more into this important conversation at our Creating Hope workshop on October 22nd. Samaritan leaders will share trends they are noticing firsthand and share practical ways that communities can support young people with compassion and understanding.

We are deeply grateful for Manderfield’s Bakery and the support they have continued to provide the community despite having been impacted by the storms themselves.
Please go support Manderfield’s at one of their two open locations!
Thank you all for your patience as we navigate the recent changes. Throughout the month of August, we will be donating $1 from every dozen donuts purchased to Samaritan Counseling, to support their free walk-in sessions for tornado victims. Although this starting late, we will be including all dozens purchased earlier this month.

We asked our Samaritan counselors to share some of the biggest myths that they hear about therapy.
Then, they countered with a truth that they want you to know.
Receiving support isn't reserved for only one group of people. Almost anyone can benefit from the support of a compassionate mental health professional.
We are here to walk alongside you whether you are currently facing some of life's greatest challenges, or are hoping for healing and transformation.

We encourage you to take time today to reflect on how you show up in your organization and your community as a leader.
💚Do you lead with a people-first mindset?
💚Do your personal values align with workplace values?
💚Are you driven by integrity?
How we show up and lead directly impacts the overall wellness of our teams, our workplaces and our communities.
Our Ethics in Business Summit on September 23rd will help address these questions, and many more!
