SPIRITUS

Our 20th and FINAL introduction is Lucia! She has six sisters and has traveled to Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, and about ten national parks in the United States. "St. Lucy is my Confirmation Saint. She has been a beloved tradition in my family for many years. On her feast day, my mom would dress one of us up as St. Lucy in a white robe and a crown of candles, representing her martyrdom and her love for the poor and others. We would also make cinnamon rolls, symbolizing how she cared for those in need and brought light into the darkness. To me, St. Lucy is a beautiful representation of light, hope, courage, and selfless love."

Matthew, Paula, and Jack are here! These three have jumped right in to training to complete our music team. Pray for these missionaries that will lead their teammates in all things music this year.

Originally from Texas, help us welcome Brannon to Wisconsin! In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing games with friends, and reading books on a variety of subjects. "My confirmation saint is Saint Jude, because he is the patron saint of lost and desperate causes, as well as a symbol of working without expecting or receiving reward or recognition. To me, he is an inspiration and a symbol to do what is right even if I will gain nothing from it, and to always hold out hope that things can improve and that nothing is too far gone."

It's a bird? It's a plane? No, it's our newest group of missionaries!

The interns have arrived!

Each of these missionaries has a special job working with our SUMMIT students, in local parishes or on our SPIRITUS social media in addition to going on retreats. Pray for them as they learn all about their roles.

Anna has arrived! Anna is returning for her second year at SPIRITUS as a household leader. Please pray for her as she begins training for her new role.

Joining us all the way from Texas, Natalie loves all things faith, family, and food. She enjoys authentic Mexican food, especially if it's spicy! If she could travel any place in the world, it would be to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. Natalie enjoys reading, going on walks, doing arts and crafts, and spending time with others. Like her patron St. Faustina, Natalie serves others through her humility and as an instrument of God's Mercy.

A true Midwesterner, Ethan enjoys a good fish fry, sports, and spending time outdoors. If he could travel anywhere, it would be to Austria, or to take a church tour across Europe. Ethan likes to try new hobbies and forms of entertainment, in order to connect with different kinds of people and have conversations about things they care about.

If you hear the ukulele, or someone gathering the team for a card game, it's Matthew! He enjoys music from bands like Switchfoot, Keane, twenty one pilots, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, and Jack Johnson. Matthew is joining us all the way from Oregon and bring a fun personality with him!

Monica is joining us after serving in her home state of Ohio as a Damascus summer missionary. She loves a good read by Tolkien or George McDonald, and is always up for a local gyro. She recently visited St. Margaret of Antioch's national shrine in Connecticut, and is ready to live this new mission year "in spirit and truth".
