Five Star Iron Works is hiring! We are looking for a Fitter I to lay out, align and assemble, in preparation for welding, fabricated metal products used in fencing, gate sections, handrails and other structures.

Field experience is a must for construction site installation
work under conditions that require accurate performance and completion of work within set time limits. Candidate must be safety conscious and conform to all OSHA safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

At least 1 year of previous experience fitting structural steel products
The ability to read tape measure
The ability to read and interpret blueprints to properly fit all products
The ability to work in a timely and expeditious manner to deliver an on-time result without errors
The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner

Qualified candidates should possess:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Some welding experience in a working environment
Welding Certification preferred
