Did you know a few hours of your time could lead to children & families experiencing homelessness in Memphis having a place for shelter? When our local shelters reach capacity, there is still a need for more. Room in the Inn gives individuals, groups, and faith communities a way to respond! Sign up to volunteer with us to give overnight shelter THIS FRIDAY (8/7) or ANY MONDAY this month at ritimemphis.org/signup

School is starting, but it's still the Summer Shelter Season for Room in the Inn as the heat continues, and we need your help!
Sign up today for any day in August and let us know you're INN to make room for this life-saving shelter!

We have 20 amazing faith communities already partnering with Room in the Inn to offer shelter at their own locations this summer. We have opened space on our campus to expand our Congregational Shelter program and make it even easier for faith communities, small groups, and individuals to volunteer and make more room for these families.

The Memphis community came together and made it happen through all of July! We need your help to continue into August.

By utilizing space in our building, volunteering any night in August will create 14 more free, safe shelter spaces. The majority of the supplies and food needed are already provided - we just need volunteers.

We opened the gate yesterday afternoon to 30 hot and exhausted women and children downtown as the "feels-like" temperature hit 107 degrees. 🌟WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS TONIGHT (7/21) AND TOMORROW (7/22) in order to offer enough shelter for those who come to this gate hoping for respite from the heat and a safe place to sleep for the night.
