Most homeowners, embarking on a home renovation project rely on specialty contractors (general contractor at the helm) to guide them through the process. All the improvement decisions should be made to strategically maximize the function as well as the esthetic goals of the project. This is not always the case as evidenced by the images above. There was absolutely no coordination and no initiative between any parties involved, thus the kitchen ceiling ended up being lowered from 10’-6” to unreasonable 7’-11”. After some careful evaluation, we will be able to raise the ceiling to at least 9’-6”. Sometimes a second opinion is necessary even outside of your doctor’s office.
