Tomorrow marks the start of a new chapter at HopeWorks. Make plans to join us as we open the doors to Next Story, a transitional home for men reentering society from prison.

The ribbon-cutting will begin at 9 a.m., followed by building tours and light refreshments.

Parking on-site is limited, but two neighboring businesses have opened their lots to us for this celebration. Check out the map in this photo for parking opportunities.

Join us next week as we celebrate Next Story – a Christ-centered home for men transitioning from prison.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and will include remarks from HopeWorks leaders and project supporters. Guests can then tour the facility and fellowship over light refreshments.

Last month, we gathered at Highland Church of Christ for our annual Morning of Hope fundraising breakfast. It was a pleasure to celebrate all the good HopeWorks has done over the past year and discuss the future of our organization.

The HopeWorks AESL department was thrilled to receive $500 in teaching materials from a Dollar General grant through Memphis Public Libraries. We were so blessed to have a librarian from the Cordova Public Library deliver the materials to our staff. It felt like Christmas morning for our teachers!

It can feel hard to trust the Lord when everything in your life seems to be spinning out of control, but putting your trust in man will always disappoint. The Lord is in control of your life and knows your next steps.

HopeWorks Adult ESL, in collaboration with the Memphis Library Foundation, will be holding ESL classes at the East Shelby Branch starting May 14.

Several men and women from Raymond James and Associates volunteered their time to bring breakfast to our AESL students and work with them on practicing job interview questions. We love our community helpers!
