Neighborhood Church

Between the weather and our rhythms calendar, it feels like we went from Epiphany to Lent in no time! While Ash Wednesday isn’t until February 18, we’ll begin our Lenten series, Co-Create, a little early this Sunday. Please join us at 5 PM back at Evergreen Presbyterian Church.

This Sunday, February 15, we’ll start at the very beginning with the Genesis story of Creation. Each week, all ages will focus on the same Scripture passage, and the service will include interactive practices that help us explore how we co-create beauty, community, justice, and hope with the Divine in our own lives.

Also, Youth Faith Formation for grades four and up begins this Sunday at 3 PM at EPC! Because the kids will be at church so early, we plan to begin the service as close to 5 PM as possible to finish by 6 PM. Please help us start on time by heading to church a little early this week.

It’s been a complicated two weeks! We look forward to reconnecting this Sunday! 🏈

NC will not meet tonight. Please stay safe on these icy roads and sidewalks. 💙 If weather permits, we will meet up for tacos Monday evening! Updates will be texted.

We’ve been watching the weather and decided it’s safer for everyone to stay off the roads tonight! Neighborhood Church will not meet this Sunday evening, 1/25, but we’ll be back together on February 1. ❄️

Advent starts this Sunday, November 30! We begin our Advent series, “The Will to Dream,” with a focus on Vigilant Hope. Our service is 5-6:30 PM at 1567 Overton Park Ave. 🕯️

We had a busy Pizza & Projects night! We made our biweekly sack lunches for Peace Lutheran Church’s food ministry, divided up our Red Tubs for foster care Christmas gifts, packaged care bags to keep in the car this winter, and made our roses for the + Rose Demonstration. 🌹🌹🌹Slide to see more MICAH/V901 Month of Action + Hope opportunities!
