A weekly basis. Once a month, we go inside the Memphis Union Mission to prepare and serve a hot meal and have a worship service. Volunteers are needed and welcome.

TESTIMONY FROM A VOLUNTEER

For the past 15 years, I have supported the efforts of Walking In Authority Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization in Memphis, TN. This is a volunteer only ministry. There are no paid workers.

We have done so much good work in the community. We continue to feed many people each week, clothe many people, distribute toiletries and masks, and provide God-fueled prayers for the unhoused and food insecure in Memphis, TN. Each week, we are providing food from our food truck. Once a month, we are serving inside The Memphis Union Mission providing the food and cooking lunch for the guests at the mission. Our volunteers are amazing.

We also provide temporary shelter at The Lydia House in conjunction with Room In the Inn. During the pandemic, we were not able to participate in Room In the Inn, but we allowed a family to live in the Lydia House for about three years cost free, providing shelter, utilities, internet, laundry facilities, etc. This has impacted the funds of the ministry. We need your help to get funds to continue helping to provide temporary shelter to families.

Ministering at The Memphis Union Mission. Thanks to Pamela Burton for her ministry in song

Today at the Memphis Union Mission, our musician Rasheed opened the floor for requests and one of our guests said he wanted to sing. Then another and another. Rasheed’s mom continued with a great song. Then the Word was brought by Elder James Elmore. After worship, Walking In Authority Ministries, Inc. Served a spaghetti dinner to 139 guests. Praise God.
