With two decades of experience in criminal law, as the Owner of the Law Office of J M Dowdy, PLLC, I am a dedicated attorney who has spent my career fiercely advocating for clients in both private practice and public service. My work has spanned the full spectrum of criminal defense—state and federal—from representing individuals facing misdemeanor charges to those accused of serious violent felonies and federal offenses.
I am known for my thorough case investigations, meticulous review of discovery materials, and my commitment to keeping clients and their families informed throughout the legal process. My courtroom experience includes jury trials, bench trials, suppression and bail motion hearings, and preliminary hearings.
