In Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement, we visited three schools. We saw many needs, mainly school supplies and funding for teachers due to the recent cut in education. An estimated 400 teachers are to be cut from the schools within the settlement due to a lack of funds.

One school that stood out to us, was a primary school (equivalent to middle school in the US). Due to the number of students, there were not enough buildings to teach them all. Many had to take classes in tents which accumulate a lot of heat and blow away in the wind and rain.

These kids are eager to learn and understand education is a key for their future. We pray for provisions for all the schools in Bidi Bidi, and for the students, teachers, and administration.
