I never ask for help but today I need a hand. I’m trying to become a voting member of the Recording Academy (Grammys). I have one referral (thank you!), but I need one more. If you are a member or know one, please let me know. I have until midnight. Thanks.

During the winter season, many of the unsheltered individuals in our communities fall into the most vulnerable category. Walking often and not always having laundry facilities as a resource, their extremities, especially their feet are at extreme risk. That's why clean socks are a reliable, top-requested item at homeless shelters.

Socks keep feet dry, free from disease, and warm. One of the main reasons someone who is unsheltered may go to the emergency room is because of a foot ailment. The best way to prevent that is to be able to wear clean, dry socks on a regular basis.

If you can't give big-ticket items like coats, thick, warm, socks can make a huge difference, and can be used year-round. Just something to consider during your holiday shopping. Most shelters accept socks. It's a small thing that can make a world of difference.
