The Signs First crew had a great time participating in Northwest Mississippi Community College DeSoto Campus’s annual Spooktacular on October 29th. The free family-friendly event was open to all trick-or-treaters in the community. Rich, Melissa, Alli, Darcy and Jim were in full costume and handed out thousands of sweet treats to the many kids and their families who attended. Happy Halloween everyone!

Once again, Signs First is honored to have the opportunity to provide signage for the National Civil Rights Museum’s Freedom Award. The Freedom Award, the Museum's signature event, pays tribute to individuals who have shown unwavering commitment to promoting justice and equality. This year’s honorees were civil and human rights activist and broadcasting executive Xernona Clayton; Sherrilyn Ifill, the president and director-counsel emeritus of the NAACP; and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Spike Lee. Signs First produced several step and repeat background banners, retractable banners, and other items for this prestigious event. Congratulations to the award recipients, and to the Museum for a fantastic event.

BEFORE AND AFTER. Signs First is honored to help the National Civil Rights Museum update their interpretive signage at the historic Lorraine Motel, site of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1968 assassination. The signs, located in the courtyard and below the balcony where Dr. King fell, help tell the story of this tragic and world-changing event. Dr. King’s legacy and mission continue with the annual Freedom Award, set for Oct. 17, 2024.

Signs First was happy to help St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral publicize their recent 'Phantom Phavorites' Halloween Concert with an appropriately spooky banner. Here are some images to recapture the night.
The organ played by Dennis Janzer and the piano by Richard Townley were over the top. Vocalists Meghan Burroughs, Joshua Terry, and Richard Townley as well as Anthony Lu playing the cello and Yimling Zhang with his trumpet completed the outstanding musical experience.
Congratulations on a fantastic evening!
