a better way to be human is a choice made a available to us every day. TEACH US TO DANCE. to see with divine perspective is as simple as a child being reminded who she really is, and her agreeing with those words. or a young man learning he doesn’t have to earn the gift of belonging. fearfully and wonderfully made are all G-D ‘s image bearers. and WE ARE ONE.

there are certain teachings by Jesus the Christ that he shared with his disciples atop a mount in ancient Palestine. in this particular teaching he declares people to be blessed or he would say something to the affect of “happy are they who…” and then he would speak of those in reference to what the Kingdom of G-D is like…

“Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

from His words and from His life there was this dance and this music that was inviting a world to lean in and join but it was counter to the ways and rhythms of a power struggling society, that hurries to hate and divide, one that is constantly grasping for control and position. in Christ’s Kingdom, His people have been reborn to an intended designed, living in His reality. one that is of service to G-D and His Creation. one to another.
