US spec , 2005 9-3 b207L A/T without an oil level sensor? 🤔 🤔 🤔

1999-2009 9-5 owners, don’t forget about regularly changing your cabin air filters every ~30k miles. Not as accessible as a 9440 9-3 but it prevents the evaporator drains getting clogged and flooding your TWICE module.

Changed out these five seals on a 9-3 today. Any idea where they go? 🤔

2007 9-3 CV with 150k miles. Unfortunately this customer, at no fault of theirs, was hit on the driver side causing significant damage to the driver door and rear quarter panel. Thankfully no injures but the vehicle is a total loss. 😔

9440 2003/4-2011 Saab 9-3: Is your space saver spare looking old and tired? Simply remove the foam blocks glued to the floorboard which makes room for a full size spare rim and tire! Retains the factory tool kit mounting and plastic nut to secure everything.

Original owner, 2007 9-3 Aero Sedan 6spd M/T 168k miles vs object on the Florida turnpike. Customer impacted an object laying on the road at 85mph but was unaware of the catastrophic damage which occurred. He was able to drive for 30 miles until the transmission seized up. Towed to shop for a replacement 6spd transmission, all engine and transmision mounts, rear main seal, dual mass flywheel, clutch kit, painted to match non Aero spec front spoiler and lower air shield, master and slave cylinder, clutch fluid supply and pressure lines and axle seals. Also fit new manual transmission shifter and parking brake assembly not related to the incident.

With all repairs, vehicle was totaled almost three times over per NADA or KBB, however what’s the true cost to having the car totaled? He would need to find a suitable replacement vehicle, spending far more and knowing far less. Vehicle is in absolutely beautiful condition so for him, the decision was very easy to make!

Another factory fuel pump failure on a 01 9-5 Aero (103k miles) due to this in line connector that melts and goes open circuit. Happily we are still able to source good factory quality Genuine Saab fuel pump assemblies (made in Poland, without the silly connector). This original owner, red 9-5 Aero sedan may be for sale soon, will post photos once it’s ready. 🤤

End of an era. It’s been well known that NGK offered reboxed Trionic 7 black made in Sweden SEM DI Cassettes (IDM). With some recent oddball low mileage failures of Hedin’s “new” made in Germany units, figured I’d pickup a few for shelf stock. Unfortunately, the new units from NGK are the same old made in China junk. 😔 🤦‍♂️

The final repair session (of 3) on a 2007 9-3 CV with 178k miles. All the normal 9440 9-3 stuff, air pump, PS pump, rusted/broken front coil springs, rear spring bump stops, etc, but also an issue I’ve not seen before. T8 DTC set for fuel tank pressure sensor fault, confirmed with freeze and live data. Expected to drop tank to find an aftermarket pump however found a factory unit and pressure sensor. Traced fault to the fuel pump/tank wiring harness which Saab\Hedin had new available so replaced rather than repaired. Customer opted to have pump assembly replaced while tank was removed from a stockpile of factory b207 pump assemblys on the shelf.
