Flower Dancers is the new shawl pattern designed for the Orange Blossom Yarn Crawl by Paula King, aka KraziKnitz Designs. The pattern will launch on Saturday, March 28 with a 20% introductory discount until 04/07/2026 - no code needed.

Flower Dancers is a rectangular shawl worked on the bias with butterflies, bees and flowers as the inspiration.

Reasons you need to make this shawl for your very own are:

It works up quickly at only 114 stitches per row.

Mosaic stitch patterns are usually easy to knit and remember.

Mosaic knitting patterns look complicated but work only one color at a time, while slipping the stitches of the other color.

There are sections of garter stitch for easy knitting, ideal for social or car knitting.

It’s designed in four colors but it’s easily worked up in more. Half skeins and leftovers are real possibilities for stash diving and stash busting!

It is available on Ravelry!

Why I’ve been missing in action the past several months and trying to make my way back into the social media sphere.

This was a recent project - a hat for my husband in his alma mater’s team colors. Shortly after I gave him this hat, he became ill. We were trotting around to the different doctors trying to figure out what was wrong.

In early January, when he ended up in the emergency room a couple of times. They finally admitted him and he was diagnosed with pneumonia.

We thought he would recover, but he didn’t. He was moved to a hospice unit inside the hospital and passed a couple of days later.

This is me saying sorry and asking you to be patient as I navigate this new stage in my life. Grief and all the things that come with a death are overwhelming. I’m doing things as I can, when I can.

Thanks for listening folks.

The Orange Blossom Bandanna is my first bandanna cowl pattern. It was a collaboration with a subscription box put out by my local yarn shop, Knit and Stitch Boutique.
Reasons you might want to make one of your very own:
It is knit flat and seamed, using slipped stitch and mosaic stitch patterns. It gives you the look of a styled shawl without all the extra fabric.
Slipped stitch patterns are usually easy to knit and remember.
Mosaic knitting patterns look complicated but work only one color at a time.while slipping the stitches of the other color.
There are sections of garter stitch for easy knitting, ideal for social or car knitting.
It has I-cord edges and bind off for a clean finished look
It is available with an introductory discount of 20% with the code 20OBB until 10/20/2025.
It is available on Ravelry - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/orange-blossom-bandanna.

I usually have more than one project bag with WIPs and UFOS awaiting attention.
I created WIP info tags to keep with each project with all the details I need.
This project is my first bandanna style cowl coming out soon.
Not all of us are tech savvy and some are extraordinarily fond of paper media, so these are perfect for those situations.
I’m sharing my WIP tags by making them available through a link in my below.
They’re free to anyone! I’ll send them out the day after you subscribe.
The newsletter comes out every few weeks with special discounts on new patterns, tips, and occasional subscriber only giveaways.
Enjoy the WIP tags and put them to good use!

A great day for a fun package to show up in the mail!

I was outside blocking my latest design sample when the mail came, so I popped out to pick it up.

I should have done a proper unpacking video, but I was impatient to open it!

Death by Drop Spindle, is a cozy knitting mystery by Tian Connaughton. Nicely wrapped in tissue, with a couple of postcards and a package of tea that I can’t wait to try!

I’m looking forward to diving into this mystery! My newsletter folks will be getting a review of this writer’s sophomore novel.
