There’s this thing that happens when people come together and meditate as a community.

It’s a stillness that rolls in after everyone lets out that first long exhale.

The day loosens its grip, and you can actually feel yourself again... like, "oh right… here I am."

If you’ve felt it, you know what I'm talking about.

If you haven’t, it’s one of those things you only understand by being in the room.

That’s really what the community meditations are about.

It's not a class or a workshop where you do more things with others.

Rather, it's just humans sitting together, breathing together, remembering that we’re all breathing the same air and walking the same Earth together.

We’re meeting next Monday, June 15th at Noon EST for a virtual meditation and Wednesday, June 17th at 7pm EST for a meditation and community gathering.

You’re welcome to come; especially if something in you has been nudging you toward it.

Nobody sits you down and tells you the really important stuff.

They don't tell you that saying no is an act of self-respect. That your body is not a problem to be solved. That growth is supposed to feel messy and slow. That comparison will steal your joy if you let it.

You learn these things by living them. By going through seasons that were hard and confusing and lonely and coming out the other side a little softer, a little wiser, a little more yourself.

Most people think meditation is about relaxing.

But what it’s really doing is rewiring your brain.

Every time you sit down and notice your thoughts (instead of getting dragged around by them), you’re strengthening the part of your brain responsible for awareness, regulation, and choice.

And weakening the patterns that keep you stuck in stress, overthinking, and reactivity.

That’s called neuroplasticity.

Over time:
→ Your baseline anxiety drops
→ Your reactions slow down
→ You stop spiraling as easily
→ You actually feel more like yourself again

But here’s the catch… doing it alone is hard.

Your brain will convince you to skip it, rush it, or quit 3 minutes in.

That’s where community comes in.

There’s something about being in a room with other people choosing to slow down that makes your nervous system go, “oh… we’re safe to be here.”

And your body actually lets go.
