READY TO SING PATRIOTIC FAVORITES ON SUNDAY, JUNE 28?

Robert Lamb is inviting singers to participate in Suntree Stars & Stripes, a free patriotic concert at Suntree United Methodist Church. Beau Surratt, the new Director of Traditional Music and organist at Suntree UMC will conduct the singers. Here are the details:

Date: Sunday, 28 June
Location: Suntree United Methodist Church
7400 N Wickham Rd
Melbourne, FL 32940
Parking: It’s best to enter the church campus off of Pinehurst. Follow signs to the sanctuary (not to the worship center).
Attire: Festival patriotic colors. You won’t wear robes, to please dress accordingly.
Music: will be provided, but bring a black folder

SCHEDULE
3:30-4:45: Rehearse in Choir Room
4:45-5:00: Move to choir loft in sanctuary and find seats
5:00-5:45: Rehearse with Melbourne Municipal Band in sanctuary
5:45-6:15: Dinner Break (church provides food)
6:20: in place in choir loft
6:30: concert

Chorus member Debbie Rayl and Eric Wilden tied the knot on Saturday, May 2, witnessed by family and friends in a ceremony at Rockledge Presbyterian Church. The couple are honeymooning in Searsport, Maine for a few days. The newlyweds will be joining other chorus members in June at the Rome Choral Festival.

Just a reminder -- the annual Spring Banquet of the Brevard Community Chorus is on THURSDAY, APRIL 30th. Chorus members who might still like to join us but haven't paid can get their payment to Kim Sellers on Tuesday evening, April 28 in the chorus room-- when the Rome trip participants begin their rehearsals.

An incredible concert on April 18 at the King Center for the Performing Arts with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and the Brevard Chorale in a performance of Dan Forrest's Creation. I'm not sure who loved it more -- the performers or the audience!

A good friend of the chorus, Laura Petruska of Suntree, wrote this in an email:
"That performance had to be one of the best BSO ever put on - and we've been members since 2006! It could not have been an easy program to master. Difficult intervals, dynamics, intertwining with the orchestra, the soloist and very professional appearance. It was so well done - I rarely jump up and 'bravo' - but I was on my feet clapping and appreciating all the hard work that went into that performance."
