Securboration
Securboration was founded in 2001 to address collaboration needs of the DoD, particularly in the areas of scenario generation for complex simulations.
With funding from the Small Business Innovative Research Program, Securboration developed innovative techniques to support large-scale military exercises by seamlessly integrating configuration data from multitudes of stand-alone simulation participants. This automated the translation, synchronization, and distribution of data to provide ‘ground-truth’ to initiate complex distributed military exercises.

Securboration has been awarded an AFWERX/AFRL Phase II SBIR award regarding Aviation Cyber Security. AFRL and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research process in an attempt to speed up the experience, broaden the pool of potential applicants and decrease bureaucratic overhead. Beginning in June 2018, and through 3 repeat calls for ideas a year, the Air Force has begun offering 'Special' SBIR topics that are faster, leaner and open to a broader range of innovations.

Securboration has been awarded Air Force Contract for Mission and Information Assurance through Cyber Atomics. The objective is to develop a cyber assurance system that expands the reach of information management and control to the network, and processes operations in an atomic manner to secure operations from harm and manipulation. Securboration intends to build the Cyber Risk Assessment for Threatened Environments (CRATE) tool, which will take as input mission requirements and run-time transactions, and produce a mission-centric threat map during ex*****on.

Securboration Awarded Air Force Contract for Certification Analysis and Planning in Acquisition. The objective is to provide model-based tools and methods to represent aircraft systems, architectures, and behaviors such that the impact of candidate modifications to criterion-driven certifications can be identified and factored in acquisition plans and budgets. Securboration will develop the Evidence-based Certification Analysis and Planning (ECAP) framework. ECAPS will provide an end-to-end oversight framework during an acquisition to ensure design and development trade-off analyses are being accomplished, including the cost of certification.

Securboration has been awarded an Air Force contract to develop innovative techniques to adapt network or perception of network to thwart adversary attempt to perform reconnaissance, launch attack and successfully exfiltrate information. Securboration's approach is to provide Container Hopping At Random Intervals Or Targeted-attacks (CHARIOT). CHARIOT provides a dynamic moving target within the network to keep adversaries off guard while causing minor impact on the system’s overall performance thereby providing a reduced attack-surface. CHARIOT will provide novel capabilities to confuse and mislead potential attackers, thus reducing their chance of successful exploitation of the protected network system.

Securboration has been awarded an Army contract for Inferring social and psychological meaning in social media in which Securboration will further expand the capabilities of its Social Understanding and Reasoning Framework (SURF). While recent events have highlighted the clandestine methods terrorists resort to for their tactical planning for ex*****on (game consoles, encrypted channels, etc.), the initial recruitment and radicalization still occurs via popular online social media outlets, and in particular Twitter. SURF uses machine learning to attempt to categorize social media users with positive sentiment for terrorists.
