Overfilled Is Over: Why Lip Corrections Are on the Rise

For years, fuller lips were the beauty trend that seemed to grow by the month. More filler. More volume. More plump.

But something interesting is happening in treatment rooms across the country.

Women are no longer asking for more.

They’re asking to undo.

One of the fastest-growing cosmetic requests right now isn’t lip injections. It’s lip correction.

Clients are coming in asking to dissolve filler, correct lip migration (often called the “filler mustache”), restore natural lip borders, and address tissue that feels heavy or stretched from repeated overfilling.

And this shift says a lot.

We’re moving away from the era of
“Bigger lips = better lips”
and into
“Balanced lips = beautiful lips.”

Over time, repeated injections can blur the natural lip line, change the way lips move when speaking, and create fullness that no longer looks youthful — just artificial.
