A friend of mine (who doesn’t live near SwapIt) was doing a big closet cleanout on Facebook.
She posted every single item in the comments. Not just the clothes, but photos of her wearing each piece.

She added prices.
She answered questions.
She refreshed.
She replied again.
She kept checking back.

Most items were like… $6.

Hours of work.

All for a few dollars she’ll probably spend on more clothes anyway.

Seems like swapping is way better than all that.

Juneteenth is a day to honor freedom, resilience, and the extraordinary contributions of the Black community. It feels right to celebrate a Black woman who is reshaping industries, opening doors, and showing what leadership looks like.

Emma Grede, a highly successful business women, podcast host, author and fashion icon. She tells it like it is, she gives no apologies for her opinions. She has started multiple businesses (many in the fashion industry) that have made a difference to women of all shapes and sizes, and she is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. She has four kids who she is incredibly honest about how she moms them.

I went to hear her speak and got to meet her afterwards. She was so inspiring and such a lovely human and of course looked amazing!

I also felt amazing in my SwapIt Outfit. The jacket, dress and shoes, all SwapIt!

I would highly recommended her book Start With Yourself and her podcast Aspire.

Starting Thursday, we’ll have the blue bags out with brand new‑to‑you items, and we’re asking members and one free swappers to hang 5 pieces while you browse. Just five.

With a little help from everyone, the store will be fully refreshed in no time and you’ll get first pick of all the new arrivals.
