We've got a Saturday plan for you, and it involves cats + kittens climbing on your yoga mat. 🐈

Zen + Tonic Yoga in downtown Medford is opening their studio to us on Saturday, October 17, from noon to 2pm for Cat Yoga. It's a 120 min, all-levels class, and while you move and stretch, adoptable cats + kittens from our foster homes will be wandering the room. Expect them to pounce on mat straps and chase each other under your legs. At least one will probably decide your downward dog is a good spot for a nap.

You don't need any yoga experience. If you've never been around kittens, that's fine too. They'll figure you out fast.

Tickets are $20, and $14 of every ticket comes back to Rogue Community Cat Rescue. That money pays for spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines for kittens like the ones who'll be sharing the floor with you.

Every cat in the room is up for adoption. Somebody is going to leave this class with an application in hand, and we hope it's you.

Space is limited so the room stays comfortable for everybody, tiny felines included.

RCCR is here because of Amanda. Over the years she's helped save and fix hundreds of cats across Jackson County, and a lot of that work happens where nobody sees it. She's a great leader too - our volunteers and fosters keep showing up because Amanda makes every one of them feel like their part matters.

Amanda, thank you for everything you've poured into this rescue. We hope today comes with cake and zero traps to check.

Pick up new, unopened pet food or pet supplies.
Drop your donation in the RCCR collection bin on your way out.
RCCR volunteers will be in front of Fred Meyer Oct. 1 - 3 from 1:00-5:00PM each day. RCCR will distribute donated cat food and supplies directly to local pets and families who need a helping hand. And the food will help restock our Community Pet Food Pantry for ongoing community support.

We're here from 11am -4pm today at 210 N Pacific Hwy, Suite C in Talent.
Every dollar spent here goes back into caring for the cats in our community.
We are also taking donations for the shop every Sat from 11-4pm!

This weekend is the end of our raffle also. Bring food with you this Sat or Sun to donate and you'll also get entered in our raffle! It's all going to a mountain colony where around 150 cats and the family on this property are struggling to get by. We are trying to support them while working to get more cats out of that situation and get 30 of those cats fixed by mid October if we raise the $2,400.00 needed.

South Medford Fred Meyer is running a pet food drive for RCCR all October long!
This weekend our volunteers will be out front with donation bins Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 2 to 4) from 1 to 5 pm. Pick up some cat food while you're shopping at the South Fred Meyer, or bring it from home and drop it in the bin on your way in. Either way, come say hi!

We're collecting unopened cat food and cat supplies. Whatever you can bring makes a difference, whether that's a whole case or a couple of cans. Can't make it this weekend? No problem. Fred Meyer will have donation bins out all month long, so you can grab something off the shelf or drop off a donation any time through the end of October.

Here's why it matters so much to us. Everything collected gets split between two places. Part of it goes to our community pet food bank, which helps local folks keep their cats fed when money gets tight, like the retiree feeding a colony on a fixed income or the family trying hard to keep their own cat at home after losing hours at work. The rest goes to the rescue cats in our care. That's the kittens in foster homes, the cats healing up after medical treatment, and the ones waiting for their adoptive families to find them. Most of what feeds all of them comes from donations, so when the shelves get low, we feel it fast.

This weeks Thankful Thursday goes to Hunter Communications 💛

They donated to RCCR, and we'll be putting it to work fixing this feral colony we've been talking about. Every cat we trap, spay or neuter, and return here means fewer litters born outside next spring, and a colony that slowly gets smaller and healthier over time.

A lot of this work happens where nobody sees it. It's late-night trapping runs and cats recovering in someone's spare bathroom, with vet bills stacking up the whole time. We keep going because local businesses decide the cats of the Rogue Valley are worth backing, and Hunter Communications just did that for us.
