We are a welcoming community embodying the inclusive love of Jesus Christ, where every story matters. linktr.ee/storiedumc

Our hope and vision is to reclaim church as a Christ-centered space. Gathering for worship every Sunday 10:30a in-person at the 5th & Washington Event Center in Mebane, NC (103 S. 5th St). Our Values:
+ We embrace everyone.
+ We are real and authentic.
+ We are courageous.
+ We are curious. How we live out our values:
+ We serve the community.
+ We gather weekly to reflect on our relationship with God and one another.
+ We support each other through small group fellowships.

"The word of God does not deny emotional struggles. It meets you in them." - BraQuan Ellis

Bray, our Taste & See Intern, preached his first sermon yesterday, sharing the story of his mental health journey and how we can practice "casting our anxieties" on God. We are grateful for what Bray brings to our community and for him sharing his story and life with us!

🏳️‍🌈 Blessed Pride! We are proud to be the only reconciling ministry between Greensboro and Hillsborough. We believe that all people are made in the image of God and that God's work is not only bigger but include who we love and are in community with.

🥳 "Some of us wandered in, searching, uncertain, carrying questions we weren't sure were welcome. Some came in a season of unraveling, when the faith we had known no longer seemed to fit. Some came broken. Some came brave. Some came barely holding on. And here, something happened to us. We were seen in our doubt and not turned away. We were held in our grief and not told to hurry. We were invited — again and again — into a story larger than our own."

To those who have ever called this community home, thank you for trusting us with your story. Thanks for trusting the ways God is moving with you. Thank you for making us who we are!

This past Sunday we kicked off our Mental Health initiative with a workshop on exploring grief led by Jackie Tyson, LCSW. Grief is hard, heavy, and difficult to talk about so we thank those who came and shared.

This initiative is made possible by and the Partners In Health & Wholeness program (). If you are interested in learning more, email Jason at [email protected]

We are excited to welcome BraQuan Ellis as our Taste & See Intern. Taste & See is designed to help college students/recent grads explore a call to ministry as they discern.

BraQuan recently graduated from Central with a degree in Political Science and is excited to work with Storied this summer. "I am ready to start building new connections while also growing in faith."

He will also spend some time with our friends at Chestnut Ridge Camp & Retreat Center!

Let's show him some love in the comments. You can meet BraQuan starting this Sunday!
