SILVERRUDD'S BLUE BREEDING PAIR! One rooster, one hen

PRIME LAYING AGE AT ONLY 14 MONTHS OLD and homozygous tested for the blue egg gene (according to the breeder we purchased from. We tested the boy just to double confirm and he in-fact did come back homozygous!)

Rooster has awesome temperament and is a rooster camp graduate from Feathered Muses farm. He is human friendly and is an all around amazing rooster to his ladies. The hen was the only one we kept in this group for breeding this year since her eggs got to size very quickly and stayed that way. We had excellent hatch rates from her eggs and she was also the only one who on occasion lays speckled eggs.

The ONLY reason we are selling is because this flock has been bred to be a lot more petite (and thus not dual purpose) and we prefer bigger birds. We have purchased chicks from an alternate source that has bred to more of the standard we are going for.

PM for price (we cant add it due to page rules on some of the shared posts). Also willing to include a Sapphire Gem hen that follows roo around if the buyer wants her as well!

the lovely lady that adopted Sprinkles (my CL roo) had a home lined up for her silkie rooster but the buyer backed out. anyone else interested?

We will have a decent amount of mostly pullets for sale in about 2 weeks (likely 1-2 BCM boys too). All are totally off heat and coop trained! Breeds vary, most will be speckled "any colored" layers (not our lines- these were purchased and we ended up with more than we needed)

We have a VERY busy summer schedule this year. Mid July-Mid September I will have very little/no time to respond to messages or set up appointments to pick up crafts/honey/salves/PSP, etc. So if you are wanting any of these things (especially PSP) make sure to purchase within the next 4 weeks!
