McPherson Main Street is hosting Mini Main at the Community Building from 10 to 1. For those a little bit more unfamiliar it's a way for kids to be able to shop for their families. This year the gifts are $20 and under. They have elves who will help your kids shop and gift wrap them for no additional cost.

Then, we have the McPherson's Christmas Parade of Lights going on tomorrow night at Lakeside Park at 6:30. The Whiskey Wagon will be there with nonalcoholic drinks, such as hot cocoa so bring out that holiday cheer! Hope to see yall there.

This year we would love to make it more community based and allow for people to be able to march in the parade and allow for other talen. I would love to have some people carol, play music, and make it into an event that community can be proud of. I think we can all agree it's been a big year of division with everything going on in town about certain issues. We ask no politics during this event. The goal is to bring community together. If anyone would like to do a Christmas style trunk or Treat we would love that!

Let's enjoy the beauty of Lakeside and the incredible work the Parks Department does every year to make our park beautiful for the holiday season! Let's have fun, enjoy some lights and make this a fun filled beautiful event.

Last night I had the opportunity to go to the Kansas To the Stars Business Awards I just want to say thank you so much to the McPherson Community members who nominated me.

I’m honored and beyond so thankful for this experience. Thank you again to Keri for sponsoring The Pink Flamingo so I could go to the ceremony this year.

We in this lifetime get the opportunity to define what success means to us. I know some people will say closing a retail shop is a failure, but I view it on the contrary. I have done so many amazing things and have had so many amazing experiences because of The Pink Flamingo. This was my 2nd year being nominated as Entrepreneur Under 30 in the state of Kansas by community members and for that I’m forever grateful. I view this experience owning as a success

The experience of being able to meet so many wise and incredible business owners is definitely one I will hold near and dear to my heart.

As November is quickly approaching it’s a bittersweet feeling. I will definitely miss seeing so many smiling faces and being your holiday candy man. I have loved and continue to love this community and have advocated because ultimately I view McPherson as a great small town with so much potential for growth.

At 28 I’ve accomplished more than some people could ever dream. Thank y’all so much again for showing not just me, but the rest of the community the misfits, weirdos, artists, black sheep, creatives that we belong even in small rural Kansas.

I love you all! Thank you so much for all the love and support y’all have shown and continue to show.
