Building Christian families according to God's design of adoption and caring for vulnerable children

America World Adoption has both a domestic and international presence. We facilitate programs in China, India, Ethiopia, and Haiti. Home study and post-adoption services are available in many states. America World Adoption also actively advocates for orphaned children through reunification, child sponsorships, orphanage support, and service trips.

Eric and Freddy are two brothers with big hearts, bright futures, and an unbreakable bond.

These kind, hardworking, healthy boys love sports, take pride in helping others, and dream of the day they can join a loving family. Eric hopes to become a physical education teacher, while Freddy dreams of becoming a chef.

They aren't just looking for a home. They're hoping for a family to cheer them on, believe in them, and love them unconditionally.

Could you help them find the family they've been waiting for? ❀️ Visit our Waiting Child Photolistings to learn more: https://www.awaa.org/waiting-children

Our missions team returned home from Ethiopia on Sunday, bringing back incredible stories and memories from their time serving in our programs.

One special project was transforming the Bete Hosanna house into a place that truly feels like home. Team member Summer Nigh sketched a beautiful mural design and invited others to help bring it to life.

Take a look at this time-lapse capturing part of the transformation! 🎨🏠✨ Watch to the end to see the final product!

Today, our first China Heritage Tour group sets off on a journey years in the making! It will be a chance for adoptees and their families to reconnect with heritage, explore culture, and experience the country that holds such an important place in their stories.

Seeing this dream become a reality has us wondering: Could Ethiopia Heritage Tours be next?

If your family adopted from Ethiopia, we'd love your input as we explore future opportunities. Take our brief survey and help us understand your interest.

From a little girl who loved books and learning to a successful engineer launching her career, Victoria’s journey is one to celebrate! πŸŽ‰

Victoria Jones was adopted from MaoMing Maonan SWI in Guangdong Province, China, in June 2005 at just 13 months old. From an early age, she was a voracious reader, often spending hours in her tiny chair surrounded by books. She also developed a strong passion for math and science, interests that would help shape her future.

Last month, Victoria graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and this week she begins her career as an Electrical Design Engineer. Her family is incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and excited to see what the future holds.

Congratulations, Victoria! We know this is only the beginning of many great things to come. πŸ’™

Thank you to proud mom Sheree Jones for sharing these beautiful photos and this wonderful update!

In August 2024, Challi β€” a beloved graduate of our Bete Hosanna program in Ethiopia β€” lost her life in a flood. This tragedy broke our hearts. And it moved us to act.

Today, 20 girls in that same program have the chance to learn to swim. For just $50, one girl can gain a life-saving skill and a new sense of confidence and safety around water.

America World does more than facilitate adoptions. We walk alongside vulnerable children and families, providing food, education, medical care, and more through our Humanitarian Outreach Fund.

Will you help us protect these girls? A gift of any size makes a difference. πŸ’›

Another America World missions team is on the ground in Ethiopia!

As part of their trip, they hosted a special gathering for the young women who have been part of Hosanna over the years. Remarkably, all but four of the girls connected to the program were able to attend! In these photos, you'll see Groups 1, 2, and 3 reunited. ❀️

A few of the girls stepped away before the photos were taken, and we've covered the faces of their precious little ones to honor our commitment to protecting their privacy. Even so, the joy and cuteness still shine through! ✨

We hope you enjoy seeing these familiar faces as much as our team enjoyed reconnecting with them in person. What a blessing it is to witness the lasting impact of Bete Hosanna and to see these young women thriving! πŸ’•

When Shari Benton adopted Ashelynn from Shaanxi in 2015, she was 7Β½ years old and considered a waiting child with special needs. The journey wasn't always easy. Since coming home, Ashelynn has undergone seven surgeries, navigated learning disabilities, and overcome challenges that came from a difficult start in life.

Today, we're celebrating an incredible milestone: Ashelynn has graduated high school and is headed to college! πŸŽ‰

Stories like Ashelynn's remind us that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a loving family. We are so proud of the resilient, determined young woman she has become, and we are grateful to Shari for saying "yes" to adoption.

Congratulations, Ashelynn! Your future is bright. ❀️
