Every detail, from the precision slab layout to the seamless installation, was carefully executed to deliver a clean, luxurious finish.

Stephen Circle | Where a Turkish Villa Meets California Modern

This is what happens when European modern design principles meet American construction. Coastal modern architecture, reimagined for the DC Metro.

The inspiration was a blend we kept coming back to: the warmth and craft of a Turkish villa, the clean open geometry of a California modern home. The result is a residence that feels sun-drenched and grounded at the same time.

Every material was chosen to tell that story. Natural stone anchors the facade and climbs the chimney mass in a full two-story expression. Smooth stucco keeps the volumes crisp and bright. European modern aluminum windows, slim black profiles running floor to ceiling, flood the interior with light and frame the floating staircase like a piece of art you can see from the street.

A travertine front porch and steps lead you to a custom wood entry door, rich and sculptural against the stone surround. Upstairs, a glass balcony rail dissolves the boundary between inside and out, all clean sightlines and open sky.

Around back, the design opens up completely. Full-height glass, a covered deck, and a kitchen that glows at golden hour. This is indoor-outdoor living done the European way.

The Primary Suite

A luxury primary bathroom designed around how you actually live. Imagine your morning: you step out of the curbless walk-in shower, water sheeting off onto Italian porcelain stone flooring that runs seamlessly wall to wall, no threshold, no interruption. The custom vanity mirror is already glowing from its integrated backlight, soft and even, the kind of light that makes getting ready feel effortless. Your custom walk-in closet sits one step off the bath, so the entire routine flows without ever leaving the suite.

Every detail was engineered for real life. Twin floating vanities in custom walnut millwork with slim synchronized reveals. Built-in open shelving flanking each vanity, left and right, for the things you reach for daily. A textured feature tile behind the vanity and along the niche wall that catches the light and adds depth to the calm.

The material story is the quiet luxury. Book-matched Italian marble and porcelain stone slabs clad nearly every square foot of the space, floor, walls, vanity, and shower alike, wrapping the suite in one continuous sculptural surface. A curved glass shower enclosure softens the geometry. Kohler fixtures throughout in vibrant bronze warm the palette against the cool stone.

This is European modern design meets American construction. A Turkish villa reimagined as a California modern retreat, built in the heart of the DC Metro.

This custom white oak walk-in was built to do exactly that. Warm rift-cut oak wraps the entire room, floor to ceiling, with clean open shelving, integrated hanging, and a bank of soft-close drawers topped in a rich smoked glass. Every run was designed around how the space is actually used, then fabricated to fit down to the millimeter.

The magic is in the lighting. Integrated LED strips run vertically through the shelving and trace each section, so every garment is lit like it’s on display. ✨ Slim brass accents outline the shelves and pulls, a quiet contrast against the natural grain.

No wasted inch. No off-the-shelf parts. Just a fully bespoke closet, designed, built, and installed as one.

The right staircase becomes the architectural centerpiece of a home, the moment that defines everything around it. These floating stairs make a statement the instant you walk in.

Solid white oak treads cantilever from a blackened steel mono-stringer, each open riser letting natural light pour straight through and wash down the space.

☀️ A frameless glass railing keeps the view uninterrupted, so the structure feels like it’s suspended in air rather than holding anything up.

The light carries down a hallway wrapped in synchronized woodgrain wall panels, where a fully concealed mudroom door disappears seamlessly into the millwork. 🤎 Function hidden inside beauty, exactly as it should be.

Steel, oak, and glass, engineered and installed as one. This is what happens when structure becomes sculpture.
