📸 The results of our 25th Anniversary Photo Contest are in!
To celebrate 25 years of partnerships, progress, and people, we asked Procon employees to submit their favorite photos—whether it’s a snapshot from a team event, a milestone moment with partners or clients, or a photo from a favorite project site.
Congratulations to Project Manager Sarah Miller, who soared above the competition (literally!) with this aerial photo of the Tidal Basin on DC’s National Mall. Snapped mid-takeoff on a flight departing from DCA, Sarah captured a rare bird’s-eye view of one of our current iconic projects - the seawall rehabilitation at the Jefferson Memorial. The DMV area is where Procon got its start in 2000, and although we’ve expanded our project portfolio to include almost every state and several other countries, this photo serves as a reminder of the meaningful work we’re proud to support in our backyard.
Thank you to everyone who submitted photos and helped us mark this milestone year!

Employee Spotlight: Traveling CM Evens Duclair
Meet Evens Duclair, Procon’s Traveling CM. Evens has been with the company for 12 years, supporting projects on the east coast, west coast, and everywhere in between. We reached out to Evens to learn more about his journey into construction management:
Where did you grow up and where are you based now?
ED: I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and spent most of my life living in Northern Virginia. I’m based in Fort Worth, TX but live in Alexandria, LA right now for the Alexandria U.S. Courthouse renovation project.
We know you’ve traveled quite a bit for Procon projects. Which project was your favorite and why?
ED: Hands down, my favorite project was the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Headquarters in Camp Springs, MD. This one was special because I got to work with one of my closest friends—someone I went to elementary, middle, and high school with. She served as the Project Manager for USCIS.
How did you end up in construction management? Was that always the plan?
ED: Construction was never the original plan. I was supposed to go into the medical field like both of my parents, who are doctors. But I’ve always loved building things—construction just felt right to me.
In my first year of college, I was a double major in Pre-Med and Construction Management. My parents didn’t know until the end of my freshman year, when they had lined up a medical internship for me at Johns Hopkins. I chose instead to work with Hensel Phelps Construction at Hobby Airport as a Rodman and Field Layout Assistant Engineer.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
ED: I love building LEGO cars and architectural LEGO sets. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going out to eat.
What was your last binge watch on TV?
ED: The last show I binge-watched was All American on Netflix.

Procon Heads to Houston: 25th Anniversary Tour
As part of our 25th Anniversary celebration, Procon Co-founders Mark Ilich and Kyu Jung, along with senior leaders Ed Pogreba, Sally Clark, and Jason Reed, headed to Houston to visit with the Texas team and check in on the work we are doing for NASA Johnson Space Center. The visit included an unforgettable tour of NASA’s Mission Control Center and the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility—where the team even crossed paths with an astronaut heading to training for a space flight!
Leadership also got a firsthand look at the construction progress for Building 31, home to the Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science (ARES) Division. The new annex, managed by our Houston team, will bring additional state-of-the-art labs, conference rooms, and office space to support research on extraterrestrial materials like lunar rocks and meteorites.
And of course—no trip to Houston is complete without BBQ. When the Houston team finished showing leadership around the NASA Johnson Space Center, the group hit the town for the region’s best steaks and wound down with drinks around the firepit.
Next stop: more Procon hubs across the country. Stay tuned as we celebrate 25 years of partnerships, people, and progress.

Procon Hosts Small Business Forum
Procon was thrilled to open our office doors to CMAA National Capital Chapter for a Small Business Forum facilitated by CM pioneer Philios Angelides P.E., F.SAME, FACEC. Leaders comprising businesses small, medium, and large (, Brown Construction Services, , and more!) joined us in our conference room for an intimate discussion of best practices for improving business operations, marketing, BD, and more.
After a long session of learning and knowledge sharing, the group enjoyed a casual happy hour featuring cold drinks, snacks, and even more conversation. We love any opportunity to invite our partners, peers, and friends into our work space. Hosting events like this gives us a chance to connect, collaborate, and grow together as a community and an industry.

From College Campus to Construction Site: Interns Tour the Ronald Reagan Building 📚🛠️
Procon’s summer interns stepped away from their project sites for a behind-the-scenes tour of one of our active jobs at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in downtown DC—home to a multiple federal agencies and one of the largest office buildings in the city.
Procon project management pros Abbey Sheasley, Kyle Lawrence, and Josue Fernandez, led an engaging site visit that focused on Procon’s role as the CMa and featured a comprehensive overview of the project and its stakeholders. After clearing several security checkpoints, the interns were able to explore the third floor, which has undergone a redesign and is currently wrapping up renovations, and got an up-close look at the complexities of GSA projects. From learning about government standards like STC and P100 requirements to participating in a punch list walk through, it was hands-on training at its best.
The tour wrapped up with a courtyard lunch and plenty of great conversation. A big thank you to Abbey, Kyle, and Josue for sharing their years of experience and expertise in government construction processes. The tour provided our interns with valuable, real-world insights they can apply at their job sites across the District.
