Grief is one of the most misunderstood human experiences. Many people believe it follows a predictable timeline or that there is a "right" way to grieve. The truth is that grief can look different for everyone and often shows up in unexpected ways, including sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, exhaustion, or even moments of joy.
This month's Tip of the Month from Kristin Benton, MA, LPC explores common misconceptions about grief and offers insight into what healing can really look like. If you have experienced the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a life transition, or another significant change, know that your experience is valid.
