Today, we celebrated the newest graduates of LifePath’s Leadership Academy following their final session and capstone project presentations.
Over the course of the program, this cohort invested time, energy, and thought into developing their leadership skills, learning from one another, and exploring ways to make a meaningful impact across LifePath. Their capstone presentations reflected the insight, creativity, and commitment they bring to their teams and the people we serve.
Thank you to the mentors, facilitators, executive leaders, and partners who helped make this experience possible. Most importantly, congratulations to our graduates on this well-earned accomplishment. We are proud of you and excited to see how you continue growing as leaders at LifePath.

🏆 LifePath Systems Receives 2026 TAMIO Award

We’re proud to share that LifePath Systems has received a 2026 TAMI Award from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) for our “I’m Fine” public service announcement campaign.

Created in partnership with our Center for Healing program following the Allen Premium Outlets shooting, the campaign was designed to help community members recognize the effects of trauma, start conversations about mental health, and connect with support when they needed it most.

What began as a PSA grew into a broader community resource, including a toolkit for individuals, families, schools, employers, faith communities, and other organizations. This award was especially meaningful given the caliber of work recognized across Texas. LifePath Systems was honored among entries from organizations including the City of Denton, the City of Laredo, and the City of Arlington. To see a community mental health center recognized among some of Texas’ leading public sector communications teams is something we’re incredibly proud of.

While we’re honored by this recognition, we’re even more proud of what it represents: LifePath Systems’ commitment to showing up for our community during difficult moments and helping people find hope, healing, and support.

This recognition belongs to the many staff members, clinicians, leaders, partners, and community contributors who helped bring this campaign to life. From securing funding and building partnerships to writing, filming, editing, producing, and distributing the campaign, this project was truly a team effort.

Special thanks to film director Shane Stewart for his creative vision and storytelling, and to Bryce Dixon, who partnered in writing the PSA and dedicated countless hours on set helping bring the project to life. Thank you to our Center for Healing team, organizational leadership, and everyone who contributed their expertise, feedback, and support along the way.

Awards are wonderful, but the real success was creating something that helped our community heal.

Throwback Thursday: The Beginning of LifePath Systems

This April 1986 clipping from The Allen American captures an important moment in our history.

At the time, local leaders were discussing how Collin County would continue providing mental health and intellectual and developmental disability services after the planned dissolution of the North Central Texas MHMR facility later that year. The concern was clear: people in Collin County needed access to care close to home, without gaps in service.

That work helped lead to the creation of the Collin County Mental Health Mental Retardation Center. The original name reflected the terminology used by state systems at the time. Years later, in keeping with changing language around intellectual and developmental disabilities, the organization began doing business as LifePath Systems.

As we celebrate 40 years, we are looking back at the decisions, partnerships, and community needs that shaped who we are today.
