The transition into permanence beyond one’s time with DIRECTION61:3 is so important. It is our hope therefore to help each young adult in their efforts to secure housing and to find belonging in a local community of faith.

All residents are considered family and encouraged to participate in regular ongoing events beyond their tenure with us…

Simply stated, we believe in lifelong community.

Today is – biking is fun, but less so when it's your only option! Many of the foster teens and young adults who come to our program don't drive, or have their own vehicles.

That is exactly why we have a Kingdom Cars program, and a "Transportation Team" of volunteers you can participate in.

We can also use the help of more volunteers to help kids learn how to drive!

According to the National Foster Youth Institute: "nationwide, 50% of the homeless population spent time in foster care."

Despite the hard work of foster parents as well as public and private agencies, the system is still a "highway to homelessness". NFYI also reports that an average of "1 out of every 4 youth in foster care will become homeless within 4 years of aging out of foster care."

This is why we exist: to walk alongside older foster and aged out youth to provide a network of support as they transition to become vibrantly independent young adults!
