Get Marty: One of my favorite pastors is working to make a difference but he needs our help The pastor of a small church in McKees Rocks has big plans and that includes a much bigger church at a new location. You may recognize James Hogan’s name. When I have issues regarding faith these days, he’s the man I turn to for insight.

Update on our merger with Ascension Lutheran in Robinson: Both Councils at their meetings this past week have agreed in principle to the documents. So today both Presidents signed off.
The next steps are for each to call their special congregation meetings so the active members can vote. This should happen in September. Please continue to pray for both congregations!

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church began when the congregations of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church (1863-1968) and St. John's Lutheran Church (1885-1968) consolidated their strengths to form a new congregation and began worshipping together at 618 Russellwood Avenue, McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. The articles of incorporation were approved by the State of Pennsylvania through Judge Arthur Wessel in the Court of Common Please on September 4, 1968 for a joined congregation of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church of McKees Rocks.
Good Shepherd is a congregation within the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod (www.swpasynod.org) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (www.elca.org)
