We appreciate ever single one of you

So, there was an awesome development at Armageddon this year that has me really stoked.

As some of you know, I get a little worried when making hats that I'm doing my best to source the feathers from ethical sources. I've got my turkey and pheasant feathers coming directly from a hunter in Western Pennsylvania who uses all parts of the bird. The guy out in Texas I get my ostrich plumes and spades from travels directly to South Africa and also buys the leather, eats the meat and eggs, and attests to the ethical conditions of the farm he uses as his source. I collect rooster tails from my friends with chickens during molting seasons.

This Armageddon, I made a trade with a lady who works with bird rescues and she had a huge bag of parrot feathers from her pet bird from molting season (some were two foot tail feathers!). She is more than willing to trade for future work and was very happy that is has been a forefront issue for our business.

So we've secured an ethical source for more exotic feathers and we couldn't be happier!

Home. Both Nona and the Shop Elf have landed in their home bases. We took our time and stopped last night after getting pummeled by storms on 70 in Indiana. Thank you so much for your support and hospitality Belegarth, Billie Creek, Mirkwood, and Dunland at Armageddon.

Next up is completing & catching up on our custom orders and The Pennsic War preparations.

As usual, you can find us at 11 Bow St next door to Odyssey Coffee. We'll have the Dan Lobo Kilian and appearances from the Shop Elf Rivin Kie.

Greetings! We were cleared by the BOD to run a quest this event for charity. Look for Nona the Fence on Merchant Row! Side quest runs from Wednesday at 4pm to Saturday at 4pm.
This is your chance to win a Beamer's Gourds for $5! First place 24oz (Medium) Beamer's Gourd w/ Leather strap! Second place 4-8oz (Flask) with fabric strap!
Do you have what it takes? Are you a master of the slight of hand or a sheer force of nature who takes what they need? Stop by the booth and register with the Pickpocket Guild. 100% of side quest funds go to the Crisis Text Line.

Rules and conditions:

PREMISE: The game is a mix between steal the flag and flag football. Each participant buys two belt flags for $5.00 (cash only) and must register with the "guild". 100% of this money goes to Crisis Text Line. The belt flags act as makeshift money pouches. The winner of the game has collected the most money pouches by the deadline, with a prize for the runner up.

RULES:
#1. You must be registered with the guild to participate (you must donate at least five dollars to CTL and receive two belt flags)

#2 Belt flags can not be secured in any way other than being halved over a belt or sash at the waist. No tying belt flags, no attaching them to armor or garb with safety pins, ect. They MUST be free flowing (like the flag in flag football)

#3 Flags can NOT be sn**ched, or "pickpocketed" in the following locations: Within man made structures (camp stores, bathrooms, troll facilities, etc) Inside merchant tents or with in five feet of merchant tents. Those caught in violation of this rule will be"caught by authorities" and must pay the "victim" two belt flags (the one stolen, and one of their own)

#4 There is no limit to the amount of belt flags a registered participant may purchase, so if both your first flags are "stolen", as long as you are a member of the guild, you may buy more (limited only by supplies)

#5 You MUST display ALL flags on your person while you are participating in the event. You MUST have at least one flag in your possession and displayed on your person to sn**ch another's flag and be a registered participant.

#6 You may gift or trade belt flags to other registered guild members or purchase more at the quest origination point at your discretion. Any belt flags in the possession of unregistered individuals will be null and void and considered property of the fae (returned to quest origination point and returned to the pool to be purchased.

#7 TIME OUT: (Involuntary) Heralds and "the Dead" are exempt from taking flags on the main battlefield and can not have them stolen from them. A participant must be "alive" and active in battle on main battlefields for "pickpocketing" purposes. (Voluntary) You may remove ALL your sashes and take a break from the game at any time. You can NOT gain any new ones but you also can't get any stolen. This is in case you need to cook dinner, get a shower, or you just need to sit for a while.

DETERMINING THE WINNER: Participants have till 4pm Saturday to submit their final belt flag count to the quest origination point for tallying. Once you turn in your belt flags, you can not submit anymore. The two individuals who have collected the most flags will be the Master and Journeyman Pickpockets.
