So you forgot your Apple Mac OS password, here is a simple way to remove or change it.

Turn off your Mac.
Press and hold Command + R, and then press the power button. Hold in Command + R until you see a progress bar appear below the Apple logo on the screen. Your Mac will now be in Recovery Mode.

In the menu bar, click Utilities > Terminal. A window will pop up. Type "resetpassword" as one word, without quotes, and press Return.

Close the Terminal windows and you will find the Reset Password Tool. You'll see a list of all user accounts on your Mac -- if you reset the password for your account, you'll have to set a new one for every other user, too.

FREE TIP: Super easy way to speed up your computer

One of the easiest ways to speed up your computer is to reboot it. But let's go one step further. If you reboot your computer 3 times it will clear out all the clutter in your system cache files. So reboot wait for everything to load then reboot again and so on. This works with both Windows and Apple Mac computers. Rebooting more than 3 times will not give you any additional computer speed.

FREE TIP: Easily block ads on browsers - Google Chrome

To block ads in Google Chrome all you have to do is add the extention.
How: Just go to chrome://apps/ and select Web Store - Then type Adblock in search I use Adblock with the Hand. Follow the instruction and you DO NOT have to donate or pay. When done if you want to see it in action click the puzzle piece in the upper right hand corner and locate Adblock and click the pin.

This does not work on your phone for Chrome but does work for Safari

It's available for other popular web browsers, including Internet Explorer/Edge, and Firefox (the Safari version is still in beta testing) on all desktops and laptops.

FREE TIP: How to unsend email in Google Gmail

Have you ever sent an email and noticed right after sending that there was an error. Or you just changed your mind, well here is how to unsend messages.

Setup first: Go to Gmail account - Then click settings upper right corner - then choose settings from the menu - choose General tab if not on it, scroll down to Undo Send - check mark Enable Undo Send - choose cancellation period of upto 30 seconds.

How to use it: When you hit send a small popup will appear at the top of the page, just click Undo. That's it.

CHROME: Click the three dots icon, then select New incognito window from the drop-down menu.

MICROSOFT EDGE: Click the three dots icon to see Settings and more. Select New InPrivate window from the drop-down menu.

FIREFOX: Click the More button, then select New Private Window from the drop-down menu.

SAFARI: Click the File menu, then select Private Browsing from the drop-down menu.

FREE TIP: Stop browsers from tracking your activity online

If you want to have websites stop tracking your activity, follow below to turn off Tracking for each browser.

Chrome: Open Chrome - Click 3 dots top right - click more - Settings - Click Privacy and security - Cookies and other site data - Turn Send a "Do not track" request with your browsing traffic on or off.

Microsoft Edge: Click the three dots icon - Settings - click Privacy, search, and services - scroll down to the Privacy - Click the toggle switch to turn on Send "Do Not Track" requests.

Firefox: Click the menu button 3 lines and select Settings - Select the Privacy & Security - Under Send websites a "Do Not Track" choose Always

FREE TIP: Stop email and website Phishing

Phishing scams are messages that try to trick you into providing sensitive information.These often appear to come from a bank or another trusted source, and they'll usually want you to re-enter a password, verify a birth date, or confirm a credit card number. Phishing messages may look real enough at first glance, but it’s surprisingly easy for scammers to create convincing details.

The easiest way to stop these is to not click on them or open the email. You can get software like Avast Antivirus that will help stop them from coming into your computer. You can also get Adblock on your browser. As for them coming into your email. Do not open them just put them in the spam folder.

If you get one that takes over your computer screen, simply reboot and you must clean your computer immediately.

FREE TIP: Avoiding Spam in your email box

By avoiding spam in your email can save you headaches down the road. The next post WE will talk about Phishing so look for the post.

2 things you can do right away. (we will use Gmail but all email platforms have this)

1. Mark all emails that you didn't ask for as spam- just click on the little box next to the email and click on report spam in the bar above it.

2. Turn off email images. When you open a spam email the sender can track you by attaching code to the image. So head to the gear wheel upper right corner, then settings, then check mark - Ask before displaying external images.

That's it 2 simple things you can do to stop some of the spam. Next post we will give a tip about Phishing.
