The library holds over 24,200 materials including over 16,300 books, and 2,600 compact discs, cassette tapes and books on cassette.
Over 3,900 DVDs/Videos are also available for check-out. The mission of the McCook Public Library District is to encourage the love of reading, to enhance leisure hours, to facilitate learning and to assist in satisfying the information needs of the people of the Village of McCook.
Our Spring Book Sale starts on Wednesday, May 20th-May 27th during normal library hours. Support your local library with great finds at cheap prices! Hours are M-Th, 11-9pm, Fri 11-6pm and Sat 11-3pm. Cash only.
Stop by for a beverage and delicious pastries at our Coffee & Conversation group-Tuesday, April 21st from 11-12 noon. All ages welcome.
National Library Week is an excellent time to stop by and check out our new items.
