Honored to be invited to the Texas House District 41 Candidate Forum organized by the McAllen Citizens League, thank you for hosting and creating space for serious community conversation. Thank you to our moderator, former McAllen Mayor Jim Darling, and to all the sponsors who helped make the night possible. Most of all, thank you to everyone who showed up, asked thoughtful questions, and stayed engaged, it was a great opportunity to talk about the issues that matter to District 41.

Un honor haber sido invitado al Foro de Candidatos para la Cámara de Representantes de Texas Distrito 41, organizado por la McAllen Citizens League, gracias por organizar este evento y abrir un espacio para una conversación seria con la comunidad. Gracias a nuestro moderador, el exalcalde de McAllen Jim Darling, y a todos los patrocinadores que hicieron posible la noche. Before running for office, I had the privilege of serving as an officer, and that experience deepened my commitment to organizing, listening, and fighting for the people we represent. Thank you to the organizers of the Super Seven Cabrito Unity Summit for the invite and for putting together such a strong community event at Ramon Garcia’s Ranch. I had a great time meeting folks, listening to what families are dealing with day to day, and talking about the issues that matter most. I’m grateful for everyone who took the time to say hi, share their concerns, and have a real conversation. Looking forward to staying connected and keeping the momentum going.

It was a great opportunity to talk with our community about public education and why it matters so much to the future of our district. Our schools are the foundation of opportunity, and when we invest in students and educators, we invest in stronger families and a stronger Texas. Education is one of the top priorities of my campaign, and I’m grateful for every chance to discuss real solutions for our schools and our kids.
