Last night at the 2026 Futuro RGV Award Ceremony, we celebrate the incredible leaders shaping the Rio Grande Valley. Congratulations again to our Community Leader Award recipient, Dr. Ricardo J. Solis of South Texas College, and our Emerging Leader Scholarship winner, Anahi Ortega from UTRGV!

This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one student at the Futuro RGV Emerging Leader event in May or June 2026 (event date TBD).
The deadline to submit the application, essay, resume, and transcripts is April 30, 2026.

The Futuro RGV Texas House District 41 Democratic Primary forum begins in 2 hours.
Come to the Student Union (2nd floor conference room) at South Texas College's Pecan campus at 6pm this evening or watch the livestream on the Futuro RGV Facebiok page.

South Texas College will not allow any political advertising at the Futuro RGV forums.
STC officers will be turning away anyone with political advertising (flyers, yard signs, etc.).

All candidates have confirmed their attendance.
The moderator will be Sarah Cervera from KRGV.
