It was a beautiful day for RGV labor, public education and community! We had AFT members repping districts from Point Isabel all the way to Roma.
With union membership growth in Texas at a four‑year high, and the collective power of working people as our foundation, RGV AFT is taking May Day 2026 as an opportunity to push the movement forward and build ties with unions and community groups in our region.
This is more than an event - it’s a day of action, celebration, and grounding in our shared power.
